Expert Mediator
Meet Melora Bentz
From a young age in her hometown of Youngstown, Ohio, Melora Bentz believed in the power of dialogue and empathy to bridge divides. Her journey led her to earn her JD from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, launch a successful 20-year career as an attorney, and ultimately found Middle Path Mediation in Denver. Early on, Melora recognized that legal disputes often require more than adversarial tactics; they demand creative, collaborative solutions. Over two decades of practice, she has honed skills in conflict analysis, active listening, facilitation, negotiation, and restorative justice.

Her experiences include:
- Serving as a mediator for Court Mediation Services and facilitating restorative justice programs at The Conflict Center.
- Providing employee relations consulting for the Democratic National Committee and advising on equitable and inclusive workplace practices.
- Defending indigent clients through the Office of Alternate Defense Counsel, reaffirming her dedication to social justice and community well-being.
- Leading initiatives as an Executive Council member and in-coming Vice Chair (July ’25) of the ADR Section (Colorado Bar Association), Board Member of the Mediation Association of Colorado (“theMAC”); and former Board member of Colorado Humanities – elevating dialogue and cultural understanding across the state.

Melora’s personal interests—ranging from exploring Colorado’s Great Sand Dunes to perfecting her homemade cacio e pepe—reflect her lifelong love of nature, creativity, and community engagement.
